If in doubt, sit them out.
Quick reference from England Rugby's HEADCASE guidance. You don't diagnose concussion; you recognise it and remove the player.

Neck pain: don't move them. Keep them still and call 999.
A concern from a parent, referee, team-mate or spectator counts too.
Adapt to the session. Any wrong answer suggests concussion.
Younger children often can't answer reliably. Never use a correct answer to keep a child on: signs and symptoms come first.
Yes to any: remove them for the rest of the day. Then check the red flags.
Move on only if activity makes symptoms no more than mildly and briefly worse. They must be symptom-free for 14 days before contact training. Minimum 21 days out for all community rugby players.

A stopwatch for kids' rugby substitutions. It times how long each player has been on the pitch and on the bench, so you can see at a glance who needs game time.
Everyone here today starts on the Bench. Tap On to put a player on the pitch, and Off to bring them back. Someone unavailable for a while (training, injured)? Tap a bench player's name, then Unavailable.
Tap Kick-Off when the game starts and Pause when it stops. After a Pause, a bar lets you mark it as the end of a half or match. The app times every player, even when your phone locks.
In the rain, or with the phone in your pocket, tap the padlock 🔓. Then Kick-Off/Pause and Substitute need a press-and-hold, and you sub by ticking players. Hold the padlock to unlock.
Each player shows their Play %, their share of the play so far today, and the time they've played today. Those with the lowest and highest 10% of the play show red, in each column and the bar. The bar under a name shows if they're behind (left) or ahead (right) of their fair share.
Rather see the minutes ahead (+) or behind (−)? Turn on vs fair in More settings → Show columns.
Tap the Fair share box at the top of the app to learn more. It shows the fair share time, then that as a % of the play:
